It was recommended that I should come here, and it satisfied my donut craving during my trip! It's located close to the Fenway Park, it's tucked away right next to target. Very convent for shopping and snacking. It's a small shop so prepare for a line during busy hours, we arrived later in the afternoon so we were the only ones in the shop. We were greeted very nicely by the staff. They explained to use everything things about their donuts and their flavors. Also explain the different flavors with their coffees and teas.
There are different flavors to choose from and styles you can have your donut. You can choose to have it plain or turn it into an ice cream sandwich. If your looking for fresh make sure to go early. Also if you want a specific kind or the popular ones go early they might run out. I really enjoyed the peach jam sugar donut, it wasn't so sweet which prefer. I especially like how soft the dough of the donuts were. With the ice cream they only had vanilla and chocolate, I think it would be nice if they had other flavors that may change or complement the different artisan chooses of donuts.
All in all this was a great stop if your in Boston and need some sweets! -

This place was awesome! All the flavors tasted great and were super unique! I couldn't decide what flavors I wanted so I got all of them lmao! But!! You definitely need to try the s'mores donut!
Love this place! I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in Boston! -

Don't be deterred by the prices.. these artisan donuts are off the charts. You won't find your average joe options here-instead, you'll get to pick from some ever-changing temptations like bubblegum, s'mores, everything bagel, lycée, and more craziness.
That being said, Blackbird can be a big and wide hit or miss, depending on a few factors. First and foremost, only visit during the morning or before noon. They make a certain amount of donuts for the day, flavors will go fast, and as you can see from many of the reviews here, you'll also want to get them in their prime (when they're still fresh). Choosing your flavor can be a nuisance, as they reserve a visual of each donut in a very small case within the counter that you can only see if you're next in line (a lot of pressure in a short second!). Lines will get out the door during busy hours, so patience is a virtue!
If you're looking for a recommendation, the everything bagel donut is the perfect, classic, savory option-a fluffy brioche donut with whipped cream cheese filling and everything seasoning on top. For sweet, skip their self-named donut, and pick something jazzier like their new pineapple upside down! -

The donuts were SO good. I had two simple donuts, chocolate glazed and blueberry pie. I was even there right before closing and they still tasted so fresh and moist. I can't wait until I can try more of their donuts!

In a city where there's a Dunkin' Donuts every few blocks, this place is really refreshing. My favorite donut flavors in general are the fruity ones, and luckily Blackbird has quite a few of them.
Winter citrus was very fluffy, and the glaze was tart and sweet. The lemon poppy is also pretty good, with a pretty strong tartness to it. They're a little expensive compared to a DD donut, but it's well worth the treat when you want something just a little more oomf.
